Construction

Five stations. One thread.

The spine stays open. A Coptic chain stitch links each signature to the next at five stations, 20, 65, 105, 145 and 190 mm from the head. The book opens flat and the thread stays in view.

The covers carry no stitching and no print. They are fixed to the block through the pastedown, so the thread lives only on the spine.
